Unlimited Resources
I'll admit it. Lately, I've been standing a bit too close to the worry line. Okay. So, it's more accurate to say I crawled over it and collapsed on the wrong side of worry. Lol. I can talk about it now, though. It got really tough. The company I work for didn't pay me for nearly a month, and saying we "got behind" just doesn't do it justice. But God is faithful even when I worry.
This morning I found myself reading Ephesians 3:14-16 over and over. Here's how the New Living Translation (1996) worded them:
When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan,
I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and earth.
I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources,
He will give you inner strength through His Holy Spirit.
Firstly, let's talk about the scope of God's plan. He didn't watch us wake up this morning and worry if He'd have enough grace to carry us through today or not. Creation was carefully planned. Salvation has always been part of the story. God planned to redeem us before He said, Let there be light. The scope included everything, and nothing is going to run short. Caregivers were not excluded when God made His plan for time in eternity.
Secondly, let's talk about His unlimited resources. For everyone. Paul put no disclaimer in these statements. He didn't tell the Ephesians that women, children, caregivers, or anyone else did not have access to God's resources. They are unlimited and available to all.
That is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I did not get up to a world without His grace, absent of His mercies, or free from His grip. He really does have enough to cover my crazy caregiving world and runaway thoughts today. The scope of His plan, the one He made before time, fully covers us today.
God is infinite. Unlimited. And so much more than our pea-sized brains can imagine. We just have to trust Him beyond what we see in this life. We must remind ourselves that He sees so much clearer and farther than we do. He's got it all covered, no matter what all looks like.
Today, I will remind myself that whatever I need to make it through another day - I will find in Him. I'll think about how His mercies, grace, peace, love, provision, wisdom, or anything else I need today is still enough. That's the way He planned it and scoped it out. Think about that for a moment. God saw this day before He said, Let there be light. He planned for it. He planned to be here and provide all the fresh mercies and abundant grace we would need to make it to tomorrow - where all that He is - is still waiting for us to arrive. Man, I love God! I know I can trust Him to carry me through one more day. Will you join me?
